What is Google Adsense in Novice terms?
Its a system of making money online designed by Google to reward Bloggers and content creators otherwise known as publishers, if you have a blog, this is one of the major ways you can be making a lot of dollars from your website especially if your blog traffic is high
Google accomplishes this by giving you a line of code which you will place on your blog, this code will pull adverts from Google advertisers (Adwords) Relating to your blog niche ( Topics). So by displaying relevant adverts (ads) on your pages Google pays you according to the traffic (impression) and clicks your web sites generate
So blog publishers can make money online by enrolling in the Google Adsense Monetization program nevertheless there is a catch in this sweet money offer by Google! lol, your blog Must meet up with Google Adsense Program Policy
So as nice as it sounds, not all blogs get Approved to join the AdSense Publishers program because most of these new blogs either did not conform to the Adsense beginners Guideline or violent Adsense rules which will get your Adsense Account disabled without chances of reactivating it.
Things That won’t Affect Your Adsense Approval
Site Traffic: of course without your site traffic you will not earn a dime from Google Adsense, Google does not stipulate minimum traffic requirement, it doesn’t matter if your website is bringing millions of page view or just 100 impressions, as soon as you reach the Eligibility requirements for Adsense your blog will be approved
Blog Post Duration Vs. Domain Age
There is a misunderstanding going on, that you must wait up to 6 months before you can apply for Google Adsense program, According to Alex Chris a Google partner Digital Marketer on his post ” How to get Adsense Approval while I partially agree with him on your domain age, Your blog post or content age is not a criterion for application,

My Personal Proven Method To Get Adsense Approval With A New Blog
I have noticed when you first apply for Adsense, the response is usually within 2-3 days but if your application gets rejected your next re-applying might take longer, so I do not want you to screw this up,
Outside all the “Grammars” we have spoken so far this tips will be very useful for new blogs as it might require a lot of efforts for old with many posts however in the latter page of the post I also recommended some steps you should take if your application is rejected by Adsense
- Get a good Web hosting preferably I recommend Namecheap because it’s Affordable and fast,
- Learn how to set up your blog in the right way so you can always fix things yourself
- Apply with your root domain: such as yourdomain.com do not use blog.yourdomain.com
- When you apply for Google Adsense with A New blog ensure you place the ads above the fold
- Ensure you write a 10 quality post with a minimum of a 1000 words in each post, remember the quality of the post depends on the topic, Making topics on ” how-to” guides and tutorials are the most effective and easily acceptable by Google Adsense
- Ensure that each of those posts contains at least 2 graphics images, 2 internal links, and 3 external linking to authority web sites in that topic or niche
- Avoid Copy and paste! As a new blogger most time you feel left behind on ideas, how can I write more posts? you are burned out, now can I copy from another blog? don’t think about it when to Get Adsense Approval With a new blog! maybe you might do that later but not now No Not now!
- Ensure you have About us, terms and Privacy pages visible links
Finally, remember a low-quality content is any post that seems irrelevant or doesn’t add value or solve any problems (your purpose of blogging is to solve or help people)
Most of these low-quality contents posts are auto-generated by bots for stuffing content into your websites may be for SEO purposes, but it’s a very Spammy act and Google frowns at it
Google Adsense Application Process for new blogs
Let’s get to work, I assumed you have gotten your blog read right? then let walk you through the application process
Ensure you fill in your blog domain name followed by your email after that ” save and Continue” its cool to use a Gmail but if you are using your website custom email to apply you will be redirected to create a Google account
After the Application process Google will show you a link which you must place on your website preferable on the header. because your Adsense application is yet to be approved, the ads display space will be blank
Within two to 7 days Adsense will review your blog site, hopefully, then you have implemented all the steps I outlined above
You will get feedback through email by GoogleAdsense Team indicating if your application was successful in that case you will receive a welcome email to google Adsense or you will receive a rejection email most times stating why your application was rejected
What to do when your Application is rejected by Google Adsense Program
This shouldn’t be the end of your blogging career neither should you be discouraged when you face Adsense rejection.
I have been there, mine was about scrap contents and violation of Adsense Policies
The Adsense Crew response was that my blog didn’t meet up to their policies due to scrap contents I have on my blog! Wow, but as crazy as it may seem, I wrote those posts, it took me A lot of man-day hours to research and make those posts, yet here they are, saying its scrapped contents.
It Dashed my Hope
I nearly stopped blogging because I wasn’t ready for Affiliate marketing then.
Each time you’re rejected After applying for Adsense, can you guess how it feels? It felts like ” there is no need” anymore to continue writing blog posts!
Oh yeah, it hurt more than relationship heart breaks because the Adsense program is the best contextual system anyone can monetize his blog with. No offense to other contextual ad platforms out there but I am saying the truth!
You and I know that the Adsense Advertisement system is one of the most reliable platforms even novice bloggers can start making money online right away especially if your blog can attract a handful of visitors.
I decided to create this post in order to help you break through these setbacks that had led to your Adsense Application being rejected
Here are 5 things you must do before you can re-apply After AdSense Rejection.
Pull down most posts and graphics.
This is definitely the first thing you should do, why because I learned this the hard way, I made some posts where I copied from some sources, in as much as I gave credits to the source yet google penalized me.
On graphics and images, you shouldn’t use the pictures you saw in the other online blog posts where you got the inspiration to write.
In order Avoid piracy or property infringement try to use royalty-free image and there are many sites where you can get free Stock graphics from sites like
Unsplash: Beautiful, free images and photos that you can download and use for any project. Better than any royalty free or stock photos.
Pexels: Free stock photos you can use everywhere.
Pixabay: Find your perfect free image or video to download and use for anything. ✓ Free for … Over 1 million+ high-quality stock images and videos
StockSnap.io The #1 source for beautiful free photos. High quality and high-resolution stock images free from all copyright restrictions (CC0) – no attribution required.
Your going to have big ‘Wahala’ if your niche is more of news and gossip niche because entertainment or News related posts are always “copy and paste”! There is no way you’re going to manufacture your own news, so you will copy from another source.
Here is my advice: if your blog was rejected because of scrapped contents ( which means you plagiarized or copied from other writers ) just remove every post associated with those sources, Hey don’t get me wrong, do not delete it just set them all as a draft, you can re-post after your application is accepted.
Write on Another Niche
Sometimes AdSense Rejections is not because you are doing anything wrong, but some niche such as entertainment or news niches are always saturated. try writing on Education; maybe scholarship opportunities, ensure you can use your creativity to craft up-to 1000+ words article
some other areas which you can write on includes niche includes
Health: e.g. Healthy living posts, how to get rid of stretch marks, how to lose good weight,
You can do it, to get the info, visit any good health or Edu blog, read some post to digest,
Try to write yours as a student, I didn’t say copy or lift some parts. Let every word be yours but let it convey the same meaning as the source or you may even add extra updates especially if you were reading from multiple sources.
At the end of the whole exercise ensure your you have up-to 10 posts that are 500+ words and have 2 pictures (one as featured image and the other inside the post)
Work on Your Blog Navigational Links & Theme
As the trend of SEO continuously changes, and Google continues to amend its methods of ranking sites, a recent discovery by SEO experts reveals that Google will rank site base on UI (User Interface). The user experience is now a criterion for determining how relevant your sites are.
How the user experience is rated is based on how long someone spent on your site, it’s called bounce rate. The longer a user stays the better your rating.
Another criterion is your navigation links
How easy is it for your users to locate your site menu links?, The first things you should do to limit your Adsense rejection rate is to ensure these pages are easily seen either on header or footer
“About us”: Google wants the users to know exactly who runs this blog, a faceless blog can mean a lot, and the aim of search engines or Adsense is not to rake in dollars alone however they want to increase legitimacy, relevancy and reduces scams
Contact us, Terms of Service, Privacy Policies and Blog Categories links should be easily located
Themes and plugins
The final phase before you can re-apply for Adsense is for you to get a lightweight theme, for now, disable heavy plugins because it can slow down your site speed, this will increase your bounce rate and lower your site SEO or relevance,
Submit Your Blog to Major Search Engines.
Install Yoast plugin or any SEO plugin, you may not understand these tricks, I did a recent test concerning Adsense rejection and approval rate, using two blogs sites each with less than 10 unique posts
I took my time to submit the first blog to several search engines, created a site map, then I didn’t do the same to the second blog.
The first blog which was submitted to major search engines and Alexa ranking got approved by Adsense while the second blog was rejected.
Whatever threshold Adsense crew uses as their basis for acceptance or rejection is secretly guarded but all these guidelines are to boost your rate of Adsense acceptance.
Review Your blog by yourself
It seems funny that am adding this piece, I have my reasons, reviewing your blog is to give yourself the first score, log off from you admin panel install a different browser try to see your blog from a visitors perspective
Read your post critically. A great post should contain citation appropriately linked to authority websites to support whatever claim or knowledge you are passing across to your readers
Check spellings and grammar, even though you can’t be a specialist in English language but try to be sure every word you use are on point, to be sure you’re not missing out, tell your friends to help you out, let them read, review and rate your blog
Check your site color combo, check your font, and font size, try to see how everything looks on a mobile device.
If everything comes out great, then It’s time to Re-apply for Google Adsense again
NB: Adsense Rejection rate Differs Country by country, this is while some people use the UK or other places where fewer people are enrolled
